Aramida K Threads
para-aramid fibers Kevlar®
Aramida K threads are specialized threads made from para-aramid fibers such as Kevlar®. They have increased resistance to tearing, breaking, high temperatures, and UV rays. The decomposition temperature is 425°C, and its proportional strength is 5 times higher than that of steel threads. After prolonged exposure to UV rays, the threads darken without losing their resistance to high temperatures.
Aramida K threads are intended for sewing specialized clothing for the military, police, and firefighters, as well as for use by steelworkers. They are used in the production of technical articles such as fire blankets, fire barriers, gloves, seals, insulation, mats, and tarpaulins. The product is flame-resistant.
The threads meet the requirements specified in KT/P/05/IW for threads used in clothing production:
Protecting against heat hazards (according to EN ISO 11612:2015 p.6.3)
For welders (according to EN ISO 11611:2015 p.6.7)
For firefighters (according to EN 469:2008 p6.1)”
The wide range of spool sizes and thicknesses will meet the needs of every industry. Please refer to the table below when selecting threads:
